EC announces DNCC polls schedule

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has announced the schedule for holding by-polls to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on February 26.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda came up with the announcement on Tuesday.
According to the schedule, the last date for the submission of nomination paper is January 18 while that for withdrawal is January 29.
The nomination papers will be scrutinised between January 21 and 22.
The DNCC mayoral post fell vacant after demise of Annisul Huq on November 30 last year. On December 1, the Local Government Division declared the post vacant.
