Jibanananda Das’s 61st death anniversay today

Risingbd Desk: The 61st death anniversary of poet Jibanananda Das is being observed today (Wednesday).

Different literary and cultural organisations have undertaken different programmes marking the day. Bangladesh Udichi Shilpi Goshthi will hold a discussion meeting, recitation and musical programmes at its central office in the city afternoon.

Bangladesh National Museum is holding a fortnight-long exhibition of the books of poet Jibananda Das marking his death anniversary.

Some 150 books of the poet are on display in the exhibition that started on October 18 and will end on October 30.

A discussion meeting will be held at the museum on the concluding day.
