'Son' kills mother in Pabna

Pabna Correspondent: A woman was killed allegedly by her son at Ghasikhola village under Chatmohar upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Ayesha Khatun, wife of Intaz Ali.

Quoting locals, Atkhoria municipality mayor Shahidul Islam Ratan said the victim went to her son's room to wake him up around 7:00am. But, the son hit his mother with a heavy stick, leaving her dead on the spot.

Later, locals caught the son and handed over to Chatmohar police station.

Chatmohar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Ahsan Habib said that on information, police forces were sent to the spot.

Details can be said after getting autopsy report, OC added.
