Student electrocuted while hoisting Argentina flag

Gopalganj Correspondent: A school boy was electrocuted while trying to hoist the flag of Argentina in Puran Muksudpur village under Muksudpur upazila of the district on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Jaber Sheikh Ridoy, 15, son of Ariful Sheikh. He was a student of class ten of Faruk Khan High School.

Munshi Mohammad Nasir Uddin, assistant teacher of Faruk Khan School said that a flag Argentina was hoisted in a tree. But, the flag displaced due to rain on Saturday night. Later, he came in touch with a live electric wire while trying to replace the flag in the tree.

The neighbours took the victim to Muksudpur upazila health complex soon after the incident, but he was declared dead by the duty doctor on his arrival.
