Avijit killing: 7 univ` graduates identified

Staff Correspondent: Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) police identified seven suspected people who were involved in the killing of prominent Bangladeshi-American blogger Avijit Roy, and all of them were university graduates.

Joint Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of police Monirul Islam disclosed the matter to journalists at his office in the city on Tuesday around 3:00pm.

He said that police identified seven suspected killers who were involved directly in Avijit killing. The names and photos of them were collected but address could not be known yet. Everything will be published after checking their names and identity.  
 
All of them are highly educated from private universities and one of them was a medical graduate.

The identified killers are also the member of militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT).  

In reply of a question, Monirul Islam said that Farabi threatened to kill Avijit through social media but, there is no specific information that Farabi was involved in the killing.

On February 26, Bangladeshi-American writer and blogger was hacked to death and his wife Rafida Ahmed Bonna, 35, was seriously injured in an attack by unidentified assailants near the TSC in capital.
