Bangladeshi shot by BSF in Satkhira

Satkhira Correspondent: A Bangladesh national was shot by Border Security Force (BSF) of India at Shibtola area, opposite of Boikari border, in Satkhira early Sunday.

 

The bullet injured was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 40, son of Golam Mostafa of Alipur village of Sadar upazila.

 

Injured Alamgir said some 15-16 traders went to India across the border for fetching cattle on Saturday night. BSF members shot them while they were returning early Sunday, leaving him injured. Later, his associates took him to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.

 

Mahbubur Rahman, physician of Satkhira Sadar Hospital Emergency Department, said Alamgir received bullet injury at his right neck.

 

Sirajul Gani, Commander of Bhomra BGB camp, he was not aware of the matter.
