Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the government would build a complete Cricket Complex at the river bank of Padma with all kinds of facilities for the cricketers.
The Premier made this disclosure while addressing a reception hosted by her for the national cricket team for their outstanding performance in the ICC World Cup and home series against mighty neighbours Pakistan and India. The reception was held at her official residence Gono Bhaban on Saturday.
“I am very proud for the achievement cricket has brought for us,” she said.
Sheikh Hasina also said that another modern stadium will also be built at Cox’s Bazar.
The Prime Minister has announced Tk 8.23 crore for the players of national cricket team, coaching staffs and officials.
Bangladesh reached in the quarter-finals of 2015 ICC World Cup, whitewashed Pakistan in the one-match T20I and 3-match One Day International series while won the 3-match ODI series by 2-1against India, first time over their opponents.
