4 more suspects held in MP Liton murder

Gaibandha Correspondent: Police have held four more suspects in the incident of ruling party lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton murder.
       
Police nabbed them conducting drives at different places of the district from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.

Earlier, police also detained 35 suspects in the incident.
       
Confirming the news, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sundarganj Police Station Atiar Rahman said drives are being conducted to nab killers of lawmaker Liton from Saturday night.  Till Wednesday morning, some 39 suspects were held over the incident. They are being interrogated.

He, however, denied disclosing the identities of the detainees for the sake of investigation.

On December 31, Manzurul Islam Liton, ruling Awami League lawmaker of Gaibandha-1 constituency, was shot to death by unknown miscreants at his home of Shahbaj village of the district`s Sundarganj upazila.
 
Liton`s sister Tahmida Bulbul filed a case in this connection against unknown assailants with Sundarganj Police Station on Sunday night.
