3 women among 6 held on Benapole border

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held six Bangladesh nationals including 3 women from Benapole-Putkhali road in Jessore on Friday morning.

The detainees are Pabitra Kumar Mridha, 55, son of Premchand Mridha, his wife Sabita Rani, 45, Kanchan Malo, 40, wife of Raymohon, Deepa Rani, 25, wife of Nikunja, all hailed from Kaziparha village under Moksedpur upazila of Gopalganj, and Nikhila Roy, 35, son of Nirodh Roy of Rajoir upazila of Madaripur.

Motiar Rahman, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Benapole Port Police Station, said all the detainees used to work as domestic help in Mumbai of India. They have been accused in a case filed for illegal intrusion. They were sent to Jessore court at noon.
