Action against those who will ignore mosquito control activity

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Haque has said that if anybody neglects the mosquito control activity to prevent Chikungunya, stern action will be taken against him or her.

He said this on Saturday at the opening ceremony of a procession to create awareness about the prevention of Chikungunya from in the front of Dhaka North City Corporation building.

He said, “We are doing what we can do to kill Chikungunya's carrier Aedes mosquito. We hope that within in a very short time, Chikungunya will come under control”.

Annisul Haque said, “We have taken all our strengths. Such large scale awareness programmes will be conducted in each ward. Action will be taken immediately if someone neglects mosquito killing activity”.

In the procession, students of different schools and colleges,  DNCC staff, local MPs, councillors and local people took part in the procession.
