Indian student murdered in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong:  An Indian student was stabbed to death allegedly by another one in the port city on Friday midnight.

The deceased was identified as Asif Seth (25). Another Indian student, the deceased’s roommate, Wilson (26) has been admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) with injuries.

Both were the students of MBA of the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), hailing from Monipur state.

Sub-Inspector of Akbar Shah Police Station Jakir Hossain Bhuiyan said that the two Indian students used to live in a rented room in ‘Bilkis Mansion’ adjacent to Foy’s Lake in Khulsi area under Akbar Shah Thana.

They took liquor in their room around 1:00 am. At one stage, they locked into an altercation.  Later, they stabbed each other with a sharp weapon.

Hearing screaming of them, residents of the building rushed in and found their room locked from inside. They later informed police.  Breaking the door, police recovered them and admitted to CMCH where doctors declared Asif Seth dead.
