Killing two women: 5 held

Staff Correspondent: Police has held five people in connection with the killing of two women in the capital’s Kadamtali area.

Police held them in separate drives in different places of Fatulla, Demra and Shyampur.

The arrestees are Shamim, Sohag, Jakir, Jamal and Rajib.

On July 10, police recovered the body of a female garment worker named Farida from Jurain Children's Graveyard. Police initially suspects that she was killed after rape.  Garment workers Shamim, Sohag and Zakir were arrested in this connection.

On June 18, the body of a woman named Parul was recovered from a house in Shyampur area of the capital. Police suspects that she was killed after rape. Jamal and Rajib were arrested on charges of involvement in the incident.
