Three pirates arrested with arms at Kutubdia

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Coast Guard arrested three pirates along with two home-made fire arms from Ali Akbar Dail Ghat area of the district's Kutubdia upazila on Friday afternoon.

The arrestees were identified as Dalilur Rahman, son of late Bazal Uddin of Muhurighona area of Maheshkhali upazila, Nazim Uddin, son of late Abdul Jalil of Uttar Suturia area and Md Shahabuddin, son of Joynal Abedin of Pashchim Suturia of the same upazila.

Anowarul Islam, Commander of Kutubdia Coast Guard Station, confirmed the news.

He said they were arrested conducting a drive based on information of Kutubdia OC Zia Md Mostafiz Bhuiyan.

A case was filed with Kutubdia Police Station in this connection, the OC confirmed.
