Banks to remain open near cattle markets until 8 pm

Branches of banks adjacent to cattle markets in Dhaka City Corporation areas will remain open until 8:00 pm under special arrangement for two days before the Eid day.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued a notification in this regard and sent it to the managing directors (MDs) and Chiefs Executives (EDs) of the commercial banks on Sunday (July 18).

According to the notification, banking activities will be conducted in Dhaka North and South City Corporation areas from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on July 19 (Monday) under special arrangements at the nearest branch and sub-branch of cattle markets. On the first day of the holiday announced for Eid-ul-Azha, July 20 (Tuesday), the nearest branch and sub-branch of cattle market in Dhaka will take necessary steps to continue normal banking activities from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Mentionable, a total of 21 cattle markets (11 in DSCC and 10 in DNCC) have set up in Dhaka city corporation areas on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
