Digitization ensures transparency in govt services: Dipu Moni

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni on Sunday said that it was easy to ensure transparency and accountability of government services through digitization.
She came up with the comment while speaking as the chief guest at a virtual inauguration programme of myGov, a program to provide 130 services of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), on the occasion of Mujib Borsho.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Senior Secretary for Information and Communication Technology NM Ziaul Alam, Director General of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Prof Syed Golam Farooq were present, among others, on the occasion, a press release from the ministry said on Monday.
The minister also said that it would be wrong to say that the services of the government have reached the doorsteps of the people as a result of digitalization; the services of the government are in the hands of the people today.
Junaid Ahmed Palak said that if the e-document had not been arranged and the digital content of the textbook had not been created, the cowardly situation could not have been dealt with so successfully.
‘The government is working to make the services of 18,000 government offices accessible to the people through the myGov app,’ he adds.
Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury said it is important to change our mentality in using technology. It is especially important to change the mindset of the service provider. The service recipients also need to know how to get the services.
Note that all kinds of services of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education are available using the myGov platform. The Department of Secondary and Higher Education will provide 130 types of services through this platform
