Two die falling into septic tank in Lakshmipur

At least two people including a house owner died after falling into a septic tank at Pashchim Rakhalia area of Raipur upazila of Lakshmipur on Sunday night (April 14).

One of the deceased was known as Riad Hossain.

Police and locals said a worker fell sick when he descended into the underground sewerage tank for cleaning at a building in the area. Later, the house owner tried to rescue the worker and he also fell sick.

On information, fire service workers rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.

Raipura police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Yeasin Faruk Majumdar confirmed the matter.
