8 killed in Mymensingh road accidents

Eight people were killed and several others injured in road accidents that took place in Bhaluka and Nandail upazilas of Mymensingh on Saturday (Aug 22) morning.
A bus hit a private car in Mymensingh's Bhaluka upazila this morning, leaving six passengers of the private car dead and several others injured.
The accident took place in the Bhaluka College gate area of the upazila on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 9 am.
The deceased could not be known immediately.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhaluka Model Police Station Moiuddin confirmed the incident to risingbd.
In another accident, two people were killed in collision between two trucks in Nandail upazila of the district.
The accident took place at a place named Toshra on Mymensingh- Kishoreganj highway around 6 am.
The deceased were identified as Mostakim, 19, son of Bachchu Mia and Saidul, son of Abdul Khalek of Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj.
Nandail Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Manjurul Haque confirmed the matter.
