Girl raped after luring of marriage in Savar, 6 arrested

Police have arrested a youth and five of his accomplices for allegedly raping a girl after luring her into an affair with false promises of marriage.

The arrestees were known as Sakibur Rahman Sifat, 20, son of Motiur Rahman of Bhanga of Faridpur, Md Babu, 26, son of Momin Mia of Gomostapur of Chapainawabganj, Yusuf Ali, 29, son of Tohurul Islam of Bompur of the same village, Sehel Rana, 30, son of Mohibul Haque of Peergachhi Bazar of Bholahat of the same district, Mainul Islam, 30, son of Mojibur Rahman of Baroipara of the same police station and Mokarom Mia, 26, son of Nurul Huda of Namerai Hazipara of the sadar police station.

They all were sent to court on Monday.

Earlier, the rape incident took place on the second floor of an under-construction building at Hemayetpur Notunpara area in Savar on Sunday night.
