Dhaka’s rail link with Mymensingh, Rajshahi suspended

Rail link of Dhaka with Rajshahi and Mymensingh has been suspended following the derailment of a train in Dhirasram rail station area of Gazipur City Corporation on Wednesday morning.

The engine of Jamalpur Commuter Train derailed in Dhirasram rail station area around 10.45am, snapping the Dhaka’s rail link with Rajshahi and Mymensingh.

Chief Station Master of Joydebpur Junction Md Shajahan confirmed the news.

Rescue operation is going on, and the rail link will be restored very soon, he added.
