Just 3 spans left to be visible entire Padma Bridge

There are just three spans left to make the entire Padma Bridge visible.

The 38th span (1-A) of the ‘dream bridge’ was laid down on pier No. 1 and 2 at the Mawa of Munshiganj around 2:35 pm Saturday, making 5,700 meters visible.

Dewan Abdul Kader, executive engineer of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge confirmed the matter.

He said, “The span was installed at 2:35 pm today (Saturday) as the weather was favorable and no technical problems were noticed. The visible part of the bridge is 5,700 meters.”

Earlier floating crane started transporting the 150-meter span from Mawa’s Kumarbhog Construction Yard to the specific pillars at 9:20 am on Saturday.

With this, a total of three spans were installed this month, according to the executive engineer.
