UNO takes responsibility of two street children

Rupsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sharmin Aktar has taken the responsibility of two street children- Imran Helal, 8, and Khadiza Aktar Mim, 9.

The UNO will take care of the two minors as they have no guardian right now. Primarily, the two were sent to Khulna’s Sheikh Rasel Child Training and Rehabilitation Center.

It was known that both of them have never seen their parents. The two kids were growing up under the care of their grandmother. Recently, their last shelter grandmother has died due to old age complexity leaving them unattended.

On January 13, the UNO came to know the incident and took the two kids to her office. She tried her best to find the guardians of the minors but failed.

On information, Medical Officer Dr. Piking Shikdar rushed to the spot and checked the health condition of the children following the UNO’s call.

UNO Sharmin Aktar said, the two lovely kids are detached now from their family members. Primarily, a shelter has been fixed for them. After getting their information of their parents, they will be handed over to their real guardians.
