Separate road crashes kill 4 in Mymensingh

At least four people were killed in separate road crashes occurred in Bhaluka and Tarakanda of Mymensingh on Saturday (March 6).

Abul Khair, Officer-in-Charge (OC), said, “A truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Mojahardi Gachhtola Bazar area of the upazila in the afternoon, leaving one killed on the spot and another seriously injured. The injured later succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital.”

The deceased were known as Bijon Krishna Roy, 58, son of Bishweshwar Roy of Baghachipara village of Netrokona’s Durgapur upazila, and Abul Kashem, 32, son of Noab Ali of Bongshipara village of the same upazila, the OC added.

Moshiur Rahman, In-Charge of Bhaluka Highway Police, said, “A truck hit a pick up van, at Bhaluka on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, leaving two persons including its driver. The deceased were known as driver Kausar Sheikh, 25, son of Sadar Ali of Sonura village of Netrokona sadar upazila, and his helper Imran, 26, son of Chan Mia of Jugati village.
