Crowds of Dhaka-bound people, long traffic jam at Aminbazar

Countrywide lockdown is underway to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Amid the lockdown, people are returning to the capital Dhaka after celebrating Eid with family members, causing huge traffic congestion in various entrances to Dhaka.

After visiting Aminbazar area of the capital on Sunday (May 16), it has been found that long traffic congestion has been created in the entrance to Dhaka. Buses, private cars, microbuses and rickaws were seen to wait in the long tailback that starts from Aminbazar and ends after several kilometers.

The traffic jam was mainly created due to the turning back of vehicles after allowing them U-tern under the Aminbazar over bridge.
