17 more die of Covid-19, symptoms at RMCH

17 more people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Wednesday (July 28) to 8:00am today, Thursday (July 29).

Of the 17 deaths, five people died of Covid-19 infections and the rest 12 died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus.
Of the dead, four were in Rajshahi district, five in Pabna, one in Naogaon, three in Natore, one in Chapainawabganj, two in Bogura and two in Kushtia, he added.

With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 499 in 29 days of this month.

A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
