Four killed in Magura clash over supremacy

At least four people were killed and 30 injured in a clash between two groups over establishing supremacy centering the upcoming union parishad elections at Jagdal village under sadar upazila of Magura on Friday (October 15) afternoon.
The deceased were known as Imran, 37, Rahman Molla, 55, Kabir Hossain, 50, and Sabur Molla, 55.
According to witnesses, the clash ensued between supporters of current UP Chairman Rafiqul Islam and Sabuj Mollah.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Magura Kamrul Islam confirmed the matter.
He said, “Four people were killed and 30 injured in the clash. The injured were rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital. Police were deployed in the area to control the situation.”
