Firefighter dies while battling blaze in Chattogram

A firefighter died at Chattogram as he fell sick immediately after dousing a blaze in a chemical factory.
The deceased was known as Md Milon Mia, 40. He was a firefighter of Fire Service and Civil Defence in Chattogram.
He died at Chattogram Medical College Hospital on Friday afternoon (November 26).
Chattogram fire service deputy director Farid Ahmed confirmed the matter.
He said, the fire originated at Homeland Chemical Industries in Sagarika area. Twelve units from Agrabad and Bandar fire stations rushed to the spot and doused the fire. The firefighter felt chest pain after dousing the fire. Later, he was taken to CMCH where he died under treatment.
