Narayanganj City Corporation polls on Jan 16

Election to the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) will be held on January 16.

Besides, by-election to Tangail-7 constituency and polls to five municipalities will also be held on the day.

Election Commission (EC) Secretary Humayun Kabir declared the schedule on Tuesday.

He said the last date for submission of nomination papers is December 15, while the nomination papers will be scrutinised on December 20. The last date for withdrawal is December 27, while the vote casting will be held on January 16.

Municipalities are Noakhali, Natore, Bagatipara, Jhikargacha and Banshkhali.
