29 shelters burnt in Rohingya camp fire

About 29 shelters were burnt as a fire broke out at a Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar at the early hours of Tuesday (January 18).
The fire originated around 2.00 am in camp number five of Block-B, Sub Block-B/3 and Block-D/2.
Commander of 14 Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Md. Naimul Haque confirmed the matter.
However, no casualty has been reported in the incident yet. The firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.
The camp is currently kept under tight security, said the police officer.
