Woman cuts husband’s wrists off!

A woman allegedly cut off two wrists of her husband due to family feud at Balihari village under Nesarabad upazila in Pirojpur on Thursday (August 11) night.

The victim was known as Jaharul Islam, 45, son of late Abdul Mannan of the village.

Abir Mohammad Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nesarabad Police Station, confirmed the matter.

He said, “Injured Jaharul was rescued and sent to hospital for treatment. However, his statement could not be received immediately as he was unconscious.”

OC, quoting locals, said, “The incident might be happened due to family feud. Victim’s wife Murshida Begum was held.”

Legal steps in this regard was under process while the report was filed, the OC said.
