3 more activists of new militant group held in N`ganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three more members of new militant outfit Jamatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya from Signboard area of Narayanganj.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the Legal and Media Wing of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) revealed the information in a press conference at Karwan Bazar in the capital on Wednesday (December 9).

The arrestees are Abdul Hadi alias Sumon alias John, Md Abu Sayeed alias Sher Mohammad, Md Rony Mia.

The RAB official said, the trio was arrested from the area on Tuesday (November 8). Of them, John was a teacher in a Madrasa in Sunamganj. He was the 'A' class financier of the organization. He gave Tk 9 lakh to Rakib, Shura member of the organization and head of finance branch, for organizational activities, 3 months ago. Besides, he usually donated Tk20,000 to the organization every month.
