Staff Correspondent: BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, also the convener of Dhaka Metropolitan BNP, has been taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for treatment.
He was taken to DMCH around 10:30 am on Saturday, Jahangir Kabir, Senior Jail Super of Dhaka Cetral Jail, confirmed the news to risingbd.com.
He said Mirza Abbas was sent to DMCH for treatment of highly diabetes and spine bone loss.
The BNP stalwart was taken to DMCH with a fool-proof security, said Sentu Chandra Das, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of DMCH Police Camp.
Mirza was sent to jail after he surrendered before court in two cases filed with Matijheel and Paltan Police Stations on January 6.
