Nurse who will receive coronavirus vaccine first in Bangladesh

Runu Beronica Costa, a senior staff nurse at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital, will be the first person to be coronavirus vaccine receiver in Bangladesh.
It was learned that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the vaccination programme virtually at 3:30 pm on Wednesday (January 27).
After that, Runu Beronica Costa will take the first dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine produced at the Serum Institute of India. Munni Khatun and Rina Sarkar, two senior staff nurses of the same hospital will also receive the vaccine.
Besides, medicine consultant Dr Ahmed Lutfar Mobin will take the first vaccine as a doctor. Two more physicians will also take the corona vaccine. However, their names could not be known immediately.
