‘8,000 doctors-nurses to be recruited soon’

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said that 4,000 doctors and as many nurses will be recruited soon to prevent the coronavirus pandemic across the country.

He came up with the disclosure to the reporters after the cabinet meeting in the Secretariat on Monday (July 26).

Health Minister said, “Doctors and nurses have got tired. How much more work will they do? We are recruiting 4,000 new doctors and as many nurses. They will be appointed very soon.”

He said, “We have omitted their interviews. We have requested that no need to be interviewed and police verification. Give them a chance to join the work soon.”

Health Minister said, “The fourth day of lockdown is underway. We are very disappointed with the way people are coming out on roads. Vehicles are moving. They are putting themselves at risks.”
