Cyclone Gulab: Warning signal 2 issued for maritime ports

Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox'sbazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist warning signal number two as Cyclonic Storm "Gulab" now lies over Northwest Bay and adjoining West-central Bay.
In a special bulletin, Bangladesh Meteorological Department said, the cyclone was centred at 6 am today (26 September) about 665 km southwest of Chattogram port, 630 km southwest of Cox's Bazar port, 525 km south of Mongla port and 530 km south of Payra port.
It is likely to move in a west-northwesterly direction further. Maximum sustained about 62 kph rtstng to 88 npan the cyclone centre.
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed are also advised no to venture into the deep sea.
