Youth sets his motorcycle on fire

A youth named Shawkat Ali has set his motorcycle on fire after a traffic sergeant filed a case.

The incident took place around 9.30am on Monday in the capital’s Badda Link Road area.

Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said Shawkat Ali set his bike on fire out of frustration and anger as a sergeant penalised him for traffic rule violation. Later, police with the help of local people doused the fire.

The OC said they took the motorcycle and Shawkat to the police station, to know more about what happened. He will be released soon.
