Court rejects application to file case against Pakistan team

A Dhaka court has rejected an application submitted to file a case against the visiting Pakistan cricket team.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Bakar Siddiqui rejected the application on Thursday noon.

General Secretary of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Mancha Mohammad Al Mamun submitted the application for hoisting Pakistan flag during a training session in Dhaka without taking the government’s permission.

Ahead of the T20 and Test series against Bangladesh, the Pakistan cricket team hoisted their flag during a training session in Dhaka.

Head coach Saqlain Mushtaq started the trend of carrying the national flag during practice and training sessions to boost the morale and confidence of the players in the T20 World Cup 2021. The trend was continued by the Pakistan cricket team in Bangladesh.
