Teenager gets killed as buses race in Dhaka

A 14-year-old boy died after being hit by two buses in Moghbazar area in Dhaka on Thursday (January 20).

The deceased was known as Rakib.

Police and local sources said, the incident took place this evening when a passenger bus hit Rakib while he was trying to aboard a bus, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was taken to hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.

Ramna police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Manirul Islam said, two buses rammed the teenage boy during a road race. Police managed to catch the buses but the drivers fled the scene.
