PM for upholding democracy

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked police personnel to be more friendly to the people and work with professionalism for upholding democracy in the country.
She said this as the chief guest while inaugurating the Police Summit-2022 after joining virtually from her official Ganabhaban residence here through the annual police parade at Rajarbag Police Line Field with the theme ‘Skilled Police, Prosperous Country, Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh’ on Sunday (January 23) around 10 am.
She received greetings from different contingents of police who staged a spectacular parade led by police superintendent Md Saleh Uddin to mark the police week.
Under the leadership of the police superintendent, many members of different contingents also took part in the parade.
The main roads and islands in the capital have been colorfully decorated to celebrate the summit.
