Mohammad Ali Mia made CID chief

Mohammad Ali Mia has been appointed as the new chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police.

A circular signed by Dhananjay Kumar Das, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, was issued in this regard by order of the president on Tuesday (August 16).

Mohammad Ali Mia replaced the outgoing chief of CID Mahbubur Rahman, now serving as Additional Inspector General of tourist police unit.

Sources said that the newly made CID chief will take the charge of the office this week.
