Bangladesh lose four wickets early in second innings

Bangladesh began their second innings after Tea session with a lead of 44 runs but a loss of four quick wickets put the hosts in deep trouble against Pakistan.

Bangladesh: (19 ov) 330 & 39/4

Pakistan: 286

Tigers are at 39 for 4 at the end of 19 overs and now lead by 83 runs.

Pakistan's ace pacer Shaheen Afridi struck a double blow in the innings fifth over, scalping the wickets of Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto with some fine display of swing bowling.

Skipper Mominul came and went in disappointing fashion as he mistimed a seemingly harmless Hasan Ali delivery to present a sitter at midwicket.

Earlier, Bangladesh took firm control of the first Test in Chattogram in the middle session, following up on their brilliant morning to bowl the visitors out for 286.

Taijul Islam took seven wickets for 116 runs in 44.4 overs in their first innings on the third day of the Chattogram Test against Bangladesh on Sunday.

The left-arm spinner, who made two breakthroughs in the first over of the day when Pakistan started 145 for no loss, went on to scalp five more scalps as the hosts took a first-innings lead of 44 runs.

Pacer Ebadot Hossain took two wickets while off-spinner Mehedi Hasan took one.
