125 cobras found inside kitchen house

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: At least 125 cobra snakes were found in the kitchen of a house at Bhadrakhanda village of Tanore municipality of Rajshahi city on Thursday night.

However, locals killed the snakes after tracing out from holes.

The house owner farmer Akkas Ali said his wife Hasna Bibi first spotted three baby snakes in the kitchen in the night.

Later, Akkas and his sons killed the three while dozens more began to come out from mice holes.

At one stage, Ali's neighbours joined them and killed a total of 125 snakes and also found 13 eggs.

The small snakes were about 1 to 1.5 foot long, and might have recently hatched from eggs, Akkas said.

Earlier on Monday, another 27 cobra snakes were found and killed at a house in Rajshahi's Budhhpara.
