Passing rate of PEC exams 98.51%, Ebtedayee 95.85%

Staff Correspondent: The results of this year’s Primary Education Completion (PEC) and its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations have been published today.

Primary and Mass Education Minister Mustafizur Rahman Fizar published the results at a press briefing on Thursday noon.

The passing rate for this year`s PEC exams stands at 98.51 percent while 95.85 percent for the Ebtedayee exams.

A total of 2,35,059 students got GPA-5 in this year’s examinations.

The students can get the results through text messages.

A primary student will have to type ‘DPEUpazila coderoll number2016’ and send the message to 16222 to get the result in a return SMS.

Ebtedayee students will have to type ‘EBT’ in place of ‘DPE’.

The codes are available on the DPE website, and at the schools and local education department offices.

Students will also be able to avail their results at www.dpe.gov.bd and dperesult.teletalk.com.bd websites.

The PEC and its madrasa equivalent Ebtedayee exams began on November 20 and ended on November 27 across the country with the participation of over 29 lakh students.
