Mithun went to hospital for routine check-up, says son

Risingbd Desk: Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty visited a hospital in Mumbai for a routine check-up and he is now at home, his son Mahaakshay has said.

According to reports, Mithun was admitted to Raksha Hospital in Kandivali (west) on Sunday as he complained of fever and vomiting.

Quoting the actor’s son Mahaakshay, the Indian Express reported that it was just a rumour.

“These are just rumours. My dad is absolutely fine and he is at home. He had just gone for a routine check-up on Sunday and he is absolutely fine,” said Mahaakshay.

Mithun, 64, who is also a Trinamool Congress MP, was recently questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the multi-crore Saradha chitfund scam.
