Pintu`s body at Nayapaltan

Staff Correspondent: The body of former BNP leader Nasir Uddin Ahmed Pintu has been taken to the party`s Nayapaltan headquarters in Dhaka where his second namaj-e-janaza will be held.

The namaj-e-janaza of the ex-lawmaker and Assistant Organizing Secretary of BNP, who died on Sunday noon, is scheduled to hold in front of the headquarters at around 11.30am today.

Later on, after Asr prayer the third namaj-e-janaza will be held at the field of Leather Technical College in capital`s Lalbagh.

The BNP leader`s dead body will be buried beside the cemetery of his father at Azimpur graveyard in the capital, family sources said.

Earlier, around 5:00am today the body was taken to Pintu`s residence at Hazaribagh`s Moneshor Road after his first namaj-e-janaza in Rajshahi.

Earlier on Sunday afternoon, after he suffered a cardiac arrest at Rajshahi Jail around 12.12pm, and he was immediately taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital but the duty doctors declared him dead.
