Govt being ready to face post quake damage

Staff Correspondent: Relief and Disaster Management Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya said the government is taking preparation to face post earthquake rescue operation instantly.

The Minister came up with the disclosure while addressing a programme titled `Bhumikompo Prostuti and Sochetonota Briddhite Koronio` at a hotel in capital`s Mohakhali on Sunday.

He said, research report said that post earthquake preparation can reduce the causality. So, awareness, trained volunteers, modern equipments, coordination of inter-ministry are must.

So, the government is working with these issues, he added.

Shah Kamal, Secretary of Ministry of Disaster Management & Relief presided over the programme where Dhaka North City Corporation Annisul-Huq, Professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury and others attended.
