Footpath eviction drive in Motijheel

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has started drives to evict the illegal shops and establishments from the city's Motijheel footpaths.

Eviction drive started around 12:30pm.

The authority conducted the drive to demolish all the illegally constructed shops occupying footpaths.

DSCC executive magistrate Khan M Nasmus Shoyeb, Mamun Sardar, Mamun Sardar, Abu Sayeed and Assistant Secretary Debasish Nag led the drive.

Nasmus Shoyeb said according to the previous declaration, the drive is underway in the area so that hawkers cannot set up any shops in footpaths.

DSCC Assistant secretary Debasish Nag said the authority is conducting drive in Doinik Bangla intersection, Baitul Mukarram, Dilkusha, Bangladesh Bank, Sonali Bank and adjacent areas.
