Two shot dead in Laxmipur

Laxmipur Correspondent: At least two people were shot dead by miscreants early Friday in Rajibpur area of Laxmipur sadar upazila.
The deceased were identified as Kamrul Islam (28), son of Shamsul Karim, and Ismail Hossain Manik (48), son of the late Sikandar Mia.
According to family sources, they were called by some people over mobile phone at midnight, but they did not return home. Later, their bodies were found near a shop.
On information, police recovered the two dead bodies.
Assistant Police Supper Md Nasim Mia said they were involved in drug business and there were many cases against them.
“The corpses bear the marks of bullet injuries,” he said.
Police suspect a feud over drug dealing may have been behind the murders.
