4 Neo JMB men held in Rajshahi

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Police has arrested four suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Durgapur and Puthia upazilas of the district.

Police arrested them in a drive early Friday.

The arrestees were identified as Aslam (37), son of the late Isa, Mohamamd Ali (37), son of the late Khodabax, Babu Hujur (28), son of Joad Ali of Joykrishnapur village in Durgapur upazila and Abul Kashem Rokon (38), son of Abdul Hamid of Dhadash village in Puthia upazila.

Sumit Chowdhury, additional superintendent of Rajshahi Special Branch Police, said a team of police conducted an anti-militancy drive in Durgapur and Puthia upazilas and detained them along with some weapons and Jihadi books.
