‘Cops would be tried if they had fired unnecessarily in Bhola’ 

Though police claimed that they were forced to fire on people at Borhanuddin in Bhola for self-defence, Home Minister Asaduzzman Khan Kamal said, “It will be investigated to find out who had ordered them for firing.”

In reply to a query, the Minister told this to the reporters after a meeting with Jatiya Oikya Front leaders at the Secretariat on Monday.

Home Minister also expressed regrets over the unexpected incident of Bhola.

The Minister further said, “The government financially will compensate to families of the casualties of Bhola incident.

He said, “S far I know that police fired for self-defence. However, investigation will be conducted to find out who ordered them for shooting. If someone is found guilty in investigation, he will be tried.”
