Diaz's 2nd autopsy report: no evidence of suicide found

Staff Correspondent: Diaz Irfan Chowdhury, former leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League Chittagong University unit did not commit suicide, the autopsy revealed.

Doctors of Forensic Department at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) handed over the second autopsy report to investigation agency on Sunday.

Investigation Officer and Chittagong Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Senior ASP Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

However, he did not make any comment in this regard.

On November 20, Diaz, an assistant secretary of the BCL's central body, was found dead at his home on the Chittagong University (CU) campus. The body was found hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom.

The first autopsy report said it was a case of suicide, but his BCL loyalists claimed he had been murdered by rivals and his body had been hung up to make it look like a suicide.  The family rejected the autopsy report and on November 24 filed a case with a Chittagong court accusing 10 persons of the murder.
